Nutrition and health in older people

Introduction:
Good nutrition plays a key role in successful aging by keeping older people healthy and functioning well. Proper nutrition can help to resist illnesses and diseases, provide higher energy levels, maintain a robust immune system and allow better management of chronic health problems. Therefore, it is essential for older people to know how to choose the right types of food, that is, selecting the food that improves their health and avoiding food that increases the risk of diseases. This public seminar aims to explain the relationship between nutrition and health among older people, and how eating smart can contribute to successful aging.
